A fantastic week at the US Masters saw a thrilling climax for Trevor Immelman as he emerged the victor by three shots from Tiger Woods.
The 28 year old South African led from the first day and kept his nerve right up to the final act on Sunday evening where, apart from a couple of jittery shots that saw a couple of strokes lost, he played excellent golf.
As mentioned, Tiger Woods finished second after watching a number of other competitors fall away as the pressure of the first major of the year took its toll. Both Tiger Woods and Trevor Immelman play with Nike Golf Equipment so finishing first and second at the Masters will have been a great result for Nike as well as the players.
